Job summary

Eataly North America in Los Angeles is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain clean, safe, and efficient work environments across on-site operations.

You will monitor HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and equipment, perform shift handoffs, and support housekeeping and dishwashing procedures while reporting to the Facilities Manager.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years facilities/housekeeping experience; Spanish skills are a plus; compensation is $22–$28 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of facilities and housekeeping experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities support duties, ensuring equipment, walk-ins, refrigerators, HVAC, plumbing, and storage areas function properly.
• Guarantee clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with regulations.
• Provide a shift recap to Facilities Manager and Food Safety Manager.
• Inspect team members’ assigned stations and provide feedback.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

The Facilities Technician serves as the point of contact for the assigned shifts and takes the necessary actions to ensure that all facilities are in proper working order. The Facilities Technician is also knowledgeable about housekeeping and dishwashing procedures. Reports to the Facilities Manager.

• Participates in and helps oversee facilities support duties, ensuring all equipment, walk-ins, refrigerator units, HVAC, plumbing, storage areas and other facilities are functioning properly and efficiently
• Guarantees exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Provides a recap of the shift to the Facilities Manager and the Food Safety Manager
• Inspects each team member’s assigned station and provides feedback
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

$22–$28 per hour, based on experience.
