Job summary

Terrapin Care Station in Jersey Shore, PA, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our growing team and maintain multiple PA locations. This role emphasizes carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and safe, unobtrusive maintenance within public spaces.

The ideal candidate will travel between facilities, follow PPE and safety guidelines, and manage time effectively while coordinating with the Facilities Manager. Competitive benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair for commercial and residential settings.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel to different facilities within PA.
• Experience with metal and wood fabrication preferred.
• Experience with surface equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights of 15 feet or higher.
• Perform job duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Basic computer skills.
• Perform repetitive tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to pass state-mandated background checks.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drywall patching and repair
• Painting and staining various mediums
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines including PPE
• Perform basic plumbing maintenance such as replacing bathroom fixtures
• Perform basic electrical maintenance such as replacing light fixtures
• Performs routine maintenance when necessary
• Troubleshoots equipment and machines
• Groundskeeping such as winter maintenance and lawn care
• Assists in cleaning and custodial duties (if required)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Follows compliance and security guidelines and procedures

Job Description

Terrapin is looking for a Facilities Technician to join our growing company. As a Clinton County, Pennsylvania based cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator and processor of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. With over 15 years of industry experience, Terrapin was licensed to operate in the Pennsylvania marketplace in 2017, growing to more than 200 employees. Retail expansion in Pennsylvania have created a need for a Facilities Technician.

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Technician position will possess a wide ranging, yet specific set of skills and experience. This role requires a clean driving record for driving a company vehicle and/or using your own personal vehicle for business travel, with mileage reimbursement provided for personal vehicle usage. They will be able to arrive at work consistently on time and manage their own time during the course of their workday. They will be comfortable working in public spaces, around other employees, customers, and contractors and maintaining a professional and as unobtrusive as possible presence during all service. They will need to be able and willing to communicate, respond quickly to new directions, and be conscientious in record keeping during the course of rendering service at various Terrapin locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing maintenance, such as replacing bathroom fixtures, toilet wax rings, diagnosing leaks, etc
• Perform basic electrical maintenance such as safely replacing light fixtures and bulbs, soldering, cutting and stripping wire, etc.
• Performs routine maintenance when necessary
• Troubleshoots equipment and machines
• Groundskeeping such as winter maintenance and lawn care
• Assists in cleaning and and custodial duties (if required)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Follows compliance and security guidelines and procedures
