Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Indianapolis is seeking a Facilities Technician to support lab operations by managing procurement, inventory, and maintenance scheduling, ensuring safe and compliant facilities.

You will coordinate service for equipment, monitor environmental systems, and contribute to a cooperative, safe workplace. A bachelor’s degree in business or science or equivalent is required; lab experience preferred; valid driver's license a must.

Responsibilities

• Procure supplies and manage inventory for the lab and facilities.

• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance for equipment.
• Monitor facility systems and coordinate service actions as needed.
• Assist with lab environmental monitoring and waste disposal investigations.
• Maintain overall lab conditions and promote safety and teamwork.

Join our mission to continuously move science forward; to innovate and advance all aspects of our business to improve the health and safety of our communities and lives.Facilities TechnicianCompensation: $19.70 per hourSUMMARY:Responsible for the provision of varied logistical and technical support for the successful operation of the lab; provides professional assistance to management staff in the area of assignment and related matters.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages procurement, receipt, and inventory of laboratory and building supplies.Manages the testing of systems (Fume Hoods, Water Purification, etc.) and is responsible for submitting associated reports; maintains completed records.Manages and coordinates the scheduling of service and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems within the lab on a regular schedule.Monitors controlled systems within the facility; reports issues and coordinates service/maintenance as needed.Assists with investigations related to lab environmental monitoring and purified water systems.Responsible for overall laboratory conditions, including waste disposal, Environmental Health and Safety, and general facilities.Manges Safety and Waste Coordinator responsibilities for the lab; acts as primary contact for waste disposal. Procures supplies and equipment to maintain facility operation.Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the lab’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business or science; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
