Job Summary

Position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled facility & maintenance related tasks to repair, renovate, install, modify and maintain building structures and equipment. Performs and oversees preventative maintenance of designated buildings, structural components, and various pieces of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Builds, repairs maintain, and or installs facility and building components such as: counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim.
  • Perms or assists with maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on Test & Certification Facility and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret drawings to determine dimensions.
  • Move and assist in transportation, set up, removal, of records, furniture, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and use advanced skills in the use of c buildings and equipment.
  • Set up and break down of cubicle partitions, exercising discretion to identify projects that need high skilled craft's individual's services.
  • Removes/replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor coverings, wall coverings, insulations, or others pertaining to the facility.
  • Must be able to maintain work logs.
  • Ability to use various power and hand tools efficiently.
  • Maintains storage areas and keeps organized.
  • Prepares material used and distributes work accordingly to others in absence of Manager.
  • Supports other locations as required for quarterly maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Function in lead capacity and performs supervisory duties in the absence of Manager.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Typically requires an Associate degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education including vocational training.
