Job summary

Devens - MA - US: Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a maintenance technician to execute preventive and corrective tasks, sustain asset functionality, and update work orders in CMMS. You will ensure accurate records and support vendor escorting to maintain safe, compliant operations.

Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:00PM (second shift). The role requires 2–4 years of facilities maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical setting and a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

Summary

Executes preventive and corrective maintenance tasks following approved procedures and job plans to sustain asset functionality and compliance. Updates and closes work orders in CMMS system, maintains accurate records, and supports vendor escorting activities to ensure safe and compliant work execution.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
Regulatory Compliance
  • Follow internal policies, procedures, and recognized deficiencies while executing task.
  • Support continuous inspection with execution by performing preventive and corrective task.
Audit & Inspection Support
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of assigned systems in accordance with established procedures; report observed deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Execute assigned Service Requests (SRs) and Work Orders (WOs) in CMMS per approved job plans and procedures; update work order status and documentation as work is completed.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and GEMBA activities under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Assist with closure of audit observations and corrective actions by completing assigned tasks and providing required documentation, as directed by a supervisor.
Work Planning & Execution
  • Perform assigned maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with approved job plans, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Execute Service Requests (SRs) and Work Orders (WOs) in Maximo as assigned; update status and document work performed accurately.
  • Carry out assigned maintenance tasks for critical life safety systems in accordance with procedures.
  • Complete assigned work within established timelines and communicate status to supervisor.
  • Record all maintenance activities and results accurately and submit documentation in a timely manner in accordance with site requirements.
Documentation, Training & Support
  • Complete required training and maintain current qualifications in accordance with assigned curriculum.
  • Escalate non-routine or complex issues to supervisor for guidance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of directly related experience in facilities maintenance or equipment and systems maintenance in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.

Compensation Overview

Devens - MA - US: $65,670 - $79,578

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

  • Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
