Job summary

Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, TN is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and oversee the Franklin campus, ensuring the building and grounds are safe, clean, and ready for ministry.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and repairs.
• On-call availability.
• Knowledge of repairs, maintenance, sanitation, and building systems.
• Advanced electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting skills preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC and building systems.
• Able to lift heavy objects and perform labor-intensive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities inside the Franklin building or outside on the grounds.
• Recruit, train, and empower volunteers for assistance.
• Ensure buildings are clean, set up and ready for all weekly programming and outside events.
• Help install and maintain seasonal, campaign, and sermon-based decor.
• Ensure contract cleaning company is completing work to expected high standards.
• Assist in long range maintenance schedules, including deep cleaning, equipment maintenance and replacement, and regular building upkeep (i.e. painting, floor replacement, etc.).
• Be an additional point person for fire protection and the overall security and safety of the facility, including maintenance of alarm equipment.
• Assist with ensuring that quality of the landscaping is kept at high levels and complies with city codes.
• Work with the Facilities Manager to keep facilities in compliance with local and state codes.
• Ensure cleaning coverage on weekends as needed.
• Foster a positive relationship with all church tenants.
• Be responsible for maintenance in the tenant spaces.
• Be responsive to tenant requests.
• Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director, Executive Pastor.

OBJECTIVE

The Facilities Technician at our RHCC Franklin Campus is a vital member of our Facilities Team, maintaining and overseeing the Franklin facility, both interior and exterior, to ensure a great environment for ministry to take place.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preference of 3-5 years in a similar role
• Able and willing to perform general maintenance and repairs
• Available in an on-call basis
• Have knowledge of best practices for repairs, maintenance, sanitation, and building systems
