Job summary

PBS39 in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a proactive Facility Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our building facilities. You will ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment by handling routine repairs and coordinating with outside contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

This part-time role (about 20 hours per week) requires strong knowledge of building systems, especially HVAC, and the ability to support Production, Engineering, and Events teams with studio

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong understanding of general building systems; HVAC experience highly preferred.
• A technical degree or certified training in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Conduct regular building inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility issues early.
• Direct outside contractors and ensure all specialized outsourced work is completed properly and on time.
• Assist Production and Engineering with studio setups, breakdowns, and support the Events team with in-house programs.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure environment and maintain compliance with building regulations.
• Maintain clean and organized mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common spaces.
• Keep basic logs of maintenance activities, building inspections, and supplies used.
