The National Aquarium is seeking a Facilities Technician responsible for keeping all buildings, equipment and grounds well‑maintained, clean, and operational in a first‑class manner. The role provides on‑site support for locks and doors, general carpentry, and commercial maintenance. The Technician supports the Life Support (LS) Department by performing daily inspections of all LS water transfer equipment, assessing, repairing, replacing, rebuilding, and maintaining mechanical equipment as required. Work‑orders are completed proactively and in a customer‑oriented manner. A valid driver’s licence is required, and weekend availability is mandatory.
Hourly rate: $21.78 – $27.67 per hour. Hours over 40 per week are overtime eligible, with premium pay for National Aquarium–recognized holidays and shift differential for overnight shifts.
