The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, responding to work orders, assisting with facility improvements, and helping ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for employees and visitors.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic facility environment. Pay: $27. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and common areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on building systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, doors, fixtures, and other facility assets.
• Assist with office furniture moves, setups, and equipment installations.
• Perform painting touch-ups and other light maintenance duties as needed.

Work Order Management

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls.
• Prioritize and complete assigned work orders while maintaining accurate records of completed work.
• Communicate project progress and maintenance updates to facility leadership.
• Escalate unresolved issues or specialized repair needs as appropriate.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards or compliance concerns.
• Maintain a safe work environment and support regulatory compliance efforts.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable safety standards.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with ordering materials and supplies necessary to support facility operations.
• Ensure tools and equipment remain in safe, working condition.

Vendor & Project Support

• Collaborate with facility management, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and construction-related activities.
• Provide support for special projects and facility events as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of:
• HVAC systems
• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• General building repairs
• Painting and touch-up repairs
• Preventative maintenance practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions as needed.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
