Job summary

Alo Yoga is seeking a Facilities Tech II to audit, troubleshoot, and repair automated material handling systems in our fulfillment center. This role requires independent work with minimal guidance and coordination of maintenance activities to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, knowledge of conveyors and PLCs, and the ability to climb and lift.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Facilities Tech II is responsible for performing, with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center. The Facilities Tech II represents and follows the outlined company guidelines for general work practices and performs assigned duties in accordance with proper safe work practices. The Facilities Tech II takes initiative to coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the safe and satisfactory completion of all tasks. The Facilities Tech II will assist the Facilities Tech III with the product flow and operational goals to effectively support the Fulfillment Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists other technicians and/or mechanics in the repair and maintenance of equipment, and diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
  • Responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Must have experience with 3 phase systems up to 480VAC, including repair, installation and maintenance.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs key components for the Fulfillment Center. Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as appropriate
  • Completes work orders, other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required.
  • Assists with maintaining inventory of company-supplied tools.
  • Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrialequipment.
  • Performs general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.
  • Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will also consider experience and/or military service.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation is required.
  • Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues.
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination skills. Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English.
  • Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends as necessary. Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
  • Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Sometimes working in extreme temperatures
  • Safely utilize manual and electronically operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying.
  • Strong electrical background, knowledge of low voltage controls, and PLC.
  • Required prior experience and/or working knowledge of a conveyor and/or sortation.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Solid electrical troubleshooting, solid controls troubleshooting
  • Preventive/predictive maintenance, modification, and upgrade support Installation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate(s)/License(s) in related fields such as Journeymen or Master Electrician, CMRP and/or CMRT, etc.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Preferred prior experience and/or working Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens products
  • Network troubleshooting a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience working with and managing outside vendors, customers, and business partners
  • Prior working knowledge of current building vendors, software, platforms, and systems desired
  • Previous industry-based experience.
  • Must possess visual acuity to read fine print as needed.
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must possess the capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and grasp products.
