Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company with a Naples, FL location seeking a Facilities Tech II to maintain and repair our 41-unit apartment building and three rental properties.

The role involves responding to work orders across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical tasks to ensure safe, compliant facilities. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least four years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of building systems (fire, chiller, compressed air, low voltage cabling) or building maintenance experience.
• Good written and verbal communication for team coordination and record keeping.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform light repairs and maintenance on buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues such as lamps, switches, outlets.
• Assist with compliance to building codes and OSHA regulations.
• Support plant care for campus buildings and housing needs.
• Coordinate with facilities team to minimize disruption to office staff.

Our Naples, FL. location is actively searching for Facilities Tech II to perform maintenance, renovations, and general repairs of grounds, commercial and industrial buildings. The position will primarily be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our 41-unit apartment building and 3 single family rental properties. This would entail responding to work orders regarding electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or mechanical services as needed. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Does light repair and maintenance work as needed on internal/external building, grounds and support equipment.
• Troubleshoots, maintains, and performs basic repair of minor building electrical problems, such as changing lamps, ballasts, fixtures, switches, photocells and outlets.
• Helps to provide a safe and clean work environment by taking care of general maintenance needs including, but not limited to, minor plumbing repairs.
• Assists in keeping buildings current with Federal and State building codes and OSHA regulations.
• Assists with plant care in the internal area and external area of the buildings at main campus, corporate housing needs and shuttle service as needed.
• Works flexible hours as need to ensure work being done does not interfere with general office staff for safety and efficiency.
• Drug Free Workplace Screening: Technicians that have job responsibilities in the Finishing building or technicians who have been designated as backup for the Finishing building are considered “safety sensitive.” Employees in safety sensitive positions will be subject to drug screening prior to and during employment at Arthrex. The company’s drug testing procedure is part of the Arthrex Employee Reference Guide. (ERG)
• Drive between assigned locations to perform tech duties, transport supplies and equipment, and support facility operations as needed in a company vehicle.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of related training and experience required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses And/or Training

• Requires intermediate knowledge of building systems (fire, chiller, compressed air, low voltage cabling, etc.) or intermediate knowledge of building maintenance and repair, dependent upon facility assignment.

Machine, Tools, And/or Equipment Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of maintenance tools and machines.

Language And Communication Skills

• Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands

• Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
