Job summary

National Capital Treatment & Recovery in Arlington, VA, is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to maintain safe and compliant facilities across all programs. You will manage health, safety, sanitation, and fire systems, and ensure spaces support staff and clients.

The role requires a high school diploma, three years in building maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and HVAC or EPA Universal Certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent life experience.
• Three years of experience in building maintenance/repair or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• HVAC or EPA Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health, safety, sanitation and fire systems to licensing standards.
• Perform regular inspections with facility and program directors.
• Note deficiencies and provide corrective action plans.
• Maintain and upgrade facilities.
• Ensure facilities protect client privacy and dignity and provide space for staff.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance; ensure inspections, county stickers, registrations and insurance.
• Report vehicle damages and write incident reports.
• Assist transporting clients as needed.
• Maintain professional growth and adhere to policies; keep licensure including CES, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Management.
• Attend trainings to increase skill and set an example.
