Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Building Maintenance professional to ensure safe operation and upkeep of facilities. You will work with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, perform repairs, and maintain the building’s appearance while supporting a patient-focused environment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 3 years of maintenance experience, with potential need for a Georgia driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance.
• Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Plant operations, structural, or general carpentry.
• May require a valid Georgia driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• May require ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities with competency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Plant operations, structural, or carpentry.
• Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks; patches holes, installs escutcheons, repairs ceiling and floor tile to maintain building appearance.
• Makes minor masonry and wood repairs.
• Installs pictures, coat hooks, and other wall hung furnishings and equipment as requested.
• Performs preventive maintenance activities, responds to customer complaints, and repairs equipment.
