Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensure the safe operation of complex equipment, and support BAS controls and related pumps and compressors in a high‑acuity hospital environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3 years’ maintenance tech experience with HVAC, EPA Universal certification, and a valid Georgia driver’s license. This is an on‑site role based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems. Maintain the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment. Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc.) chiller operations, BAS controls, pump operations, water treatment program, air handler units, VAV's, walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerators, ice machines and boiler operations.

Work Experience

• 3 years of Maintenance Tech experience to include HVAC experience. Experience may be substituted if graduate from a HVAC program Required
• 1 year For systems that include BAS controls, experience must include of commercial/healthcare HVAC/HVAC BAS experience or graduation from a BAS program Required

Licenses and Certifications

• EPA - Universal Certification Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid state issued driver's license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Required
