Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to care for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Responsibilities include maintaining complex equipment and ensuring safe operation across BAS-controlled systems, chillers, pumps and boilers in a healthcare setting.

The role requires 3 years of HVAC maintenance experience, 1 year BAS exposure, EPA Universal certification, and a valid Georgia driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of Maintenance Tech experience including HVAC.
• 1 year BAS controls experience or BAS program graduation required.
• EPA – Universal Certification required.
• Valid state Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment and systems.
• Ensure safe operation of complex systems and equipment.
• Support chiller, BAS controls, pumps, chillers, air handlers, VAVs, freezers, boilers operations.
• Follow safety policies and healthcare facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems. Maintain the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment. Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc.) chiller operations, BAS controls, pump operations, water treatment program, air handler units, VAV's, walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerators, ice machines and boiler operations.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of Maintenance Tech experience to include HVAC experience. Experience may be substituted if graduate from a HVAC program Required
• 1 year For systems that include BAS controls, experience must include of commercial/healthcare HVAC/HVAC BAS experience or graduation from a BAS program Required

Licenses and Certifications

• EPA – Universal Certification Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid state issued driver's license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Required
