Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking a Supervisor of Facility Support to oversee housekeeping and maintenance activities, train staff in cleaning techniques, and support the Manager of Facility Support. You will schedule assignments, enforce safety standards, monitor productivity, and coordinate with other departments to keep the Garden clean, safe, and welcoming.

The role requires weekend and holiday availability and a customer-focused approach to ensure a positive visitor experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of housekeeping and general maintenance experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience leading a work group.
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices and floor care procedures.
• Understanding safety rules for chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public.
• Strong project management, organizational and time-management skills.
• Scheduling flexibility including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and prioritizes housekeeping and facility setup.
• Supervises, trains and assists staff; schedules assignments.
• Provides daily supervision and coaches staff for success.
• Maintains inventory control and equipment maintenance programs.
• Reviews timekeeping and enforces attendance guidelines.
• Ensures safety standards are followed and responds to incidents.
• Interacts professionally with visitors and staff at all times.
