Job summary

Keel in Goose Creek, SC is seeking an entry-level Materials/Logistics Associate to support material flow and production schedules. You will help track materials, coordinate deliveries, and verify conformance under guidance, while learning 5S and standard measurement practices.

The role offers on-site work with opportunities to grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment and contribute to timely material movement across departments.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • ERP exposure preferred.
  • Basic problem-solving and math skills.
  • Willingness to learn 5S, inventory standards, and measurement tools.
  • Basic understanding of metric and imperial measurements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews production schedules and identifies basic material requirements.
  • Tracks overdue materials and updates material status.
  • Coordinates delivery dates and assists requisition of materials.
  • Verifies material conformance under guidance.
  • Assists with kitting materials for production needs.
  • Computes simple material requirements using established tools.
  • Maintains manual or computerized material inventory records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Mission:

Supports the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules. Maintains accurate records and assists in minimizing downtime by ensuring timely material movement.

  • Reviews production schedules and works with department supervisors to identify basic material requirements.
  • Assists with tracking overdue materials and updating material status.
  • Supports the requisition of materials and helps coordinate delivery dates.
  • Verifies material conformance to specifications under guidance.
  • Assists with kitting materials for production needs.
  • Computes simple material requirements using established tools and instructions.
  • Maintains manual or computerized records for material inventory and in-process reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Mission Readiness:

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel between plants as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
  • May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
