Job summary

Vireo Health is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee operations across the Hurlock and Massey locations. The role requires supervising a team of facilities technicians, coordinating preventive maintenance, and managing repairs and vendor relationships to ensure safe, compliant sites.

You will lead maintenance planning, budgeting support, and collaboration with corporate real estate to execute improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and supervisory roles.
• Ability to oversee site operations across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to facilities technicians at both locations, including coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage day-to-day facilities operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable functionality of both sites.
• Conduct routine inspections of premises, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform and/or oversee basic repairs and maintenance of facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and minor structural repairs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance plans for both locations.
• Establish, manage, and monitor waste service providers and related compliance.
• Submit, track, and manage facilities maintenance tickets through the company’s maintenance system.
• Maintain and manage inventories of spare parts, tools, and equipment to support continuous facility functionality.
• Partner with Directors to prepare repair estimates, support capital projects, and assist in developing facility improvement budgets.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and ensure all facilities improvements meet quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
• Collaborate with Corporate Real Estate to plan and execute larger facility improvement projects.
• Ensure adherence to sanitation practices, facility cleanliness, and safety procedures, including routine cleaning tasks.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and provide regular updates to leadership on facility operations, challenges, and progress.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the facilities team.
• Act as a point of escalation for urgent facility issues and coordinate appropriate response.
• All other duties as assigned by the Directors or Corporate Facilities Manager to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.

What we offer:

• Compensation: $60,000-65,000 annually

What the role is about:

This position oversees facilities operations across both the Hurlock and Massey locations. Travel between sites will be required based on operational needs.

What impact you'll make:

• Provide leadership and direct supervision to facilities technicians at both locations, including coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable functionality of both sites

• Conduct routine inspections of premises, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

• Perform and/or oversee basic repairs and maintenance of facility systems, including:

• Plumbing (pipes, pumps, fixtures)

• Electrical (lighting, minor wiring needs)

• HVAC systems

• Minor structural repairs

• Repair or coordinate repairs of facility mechanical processing equipment, including vendor management when specialized service is required.

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance plans for both locations

• Establish, manage, and monitor waste service providers and related compliance

• Submit, track, and manage facilities maintenance tickets through the company’s maintenance system

• Maintain and manage inventories of spare parts, tools, and equipment to support continuous facility functionality

What you've accomplished:

• Proven Maintenance Experience

• Skilled in the use of power tools

• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches

• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts

• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary

• Ability to work flexible schedule, includingoff business hours as needed

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must have a valid driver's license

Physical Demands

Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required.Standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspectequipment. Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.

Work Environment

The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.
