Job summary

Orting School District is seeking a dependable Substitute - Facilities to help maintain a safe, clean learning environment across district facilities. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, safety checks, and light maintenance duties, with supervision by the Facilities team.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid Washington driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This on-call/part-time role supports school operations and may include after-hours

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Washington State drivers license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff to ensure a safe, clean school environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of building and campus.
• Vacuum, sweep, dust, and mop floors and/or carpets.
• Clean restrooms, furniture, walls, and fixtures.
• Sanitize high-touch areas.
• Replace lights and operate cleaning machines as needed.
• Ensure comfortable work environment and building safety.
• Provide night security of assigned facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Building Administrator
