• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years in facilities engineering or facilities management with leadership of teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Experience leading environmental, health, safety, emergency response, and regulatory programs in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to develop strategic plans, manage budgets, optimize operations, and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop site facilities strategies, budgets, and long-range plans; ensure regulatory compliance.

• Oversee capital improvements, expansions, renovations, equipment installations, and contractor management.
• Lead safety, disaster recovery, environmental compliance, and OSHA-related programs.
• Analyze facility systems and space utilization to identify efficiencies and sustainable improvements.
• Build a high-performing facilities organization through workforce planning, coaching, and development.
• Act as advisor to senior leadership, customers, contractors, and external agencies.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. Manager, Facilities located in Milpitas, CA. Reporting to the Director, Facilities the Sr. Manager, Facilities role will be In charge of guiding a broad functional area through several department managers for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of facilities in order to ensure that buildings under the organization’s control meet the required company and government standards and regulations.

What a typical day looks like

• Lead and direct all facilities operations, including maintenance, infrastructure, utilities, site services, safety programs, capital projects, and facilities personnel to support business objectives.
• Develop and execute site facilities strategies, budgets, and long-range plans while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements, environmental regulations, and operational goals.
• Partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, improve facility performance, and support manufacturing growth initiatives.
• Oversee capital improvement projects, facility expansions, renovations, equipment installations, and contractor management from planning through execution.
• Lead facility safety, emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs, ensuring adherence to OSHA and company standards.
• Analyze facility systems, space utilization, infrastructure needs, and operational performance to identify efficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
• Build and develop a high-performing facilities organization through strategic workforce planning, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, customers, contractors, and external agencies while influencing decisions that impact site operations and long-term business success.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of facilities engineering, facilities management, or related experience, including leadership of teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Strong expertise in facility infrastructure, building systems, utilities, preventive maintenance, capital projects, and contractor/vendor management.
• Experience leading environmental, health, safety, emergency response, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to develop strategic plans, manage budgets, optimize operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that impact business performance.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, develop high-performing teams, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
