Overview

Expected to perform and oversee general maintenance and repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; ensure that all mechanical equipment if functioning properly; perform minor repairs on office equipment.

Expected to perform and oversee general maintenance and repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; ensure that all mechanical equipment if functioning properly; perform minor repairs on office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs on such equipment as engines, lawn mowers, electrical fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains; install ceiling and floor tiles, using general hand tools and electrically powered hand tools. Ability to climb ladder for changing light bulbs or working on roofs, etc.
  • Ensure that all mechanical equipment, such as air conditioners, heating systems, and alarm systems, are functioning properly.
  • Perform minor repairs on office equipment, etc.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to transport supplies or pick up items; assist in stocking and shelving supplies delivered.
  • Perform minor and routine painting; repair woodwork and plaster.
  • Perform some carpentry duties in order to build additions or revisions to existing structures or facilities.
  • May be responsible for scheduling fleet car maintenance.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the safe deposit boxes in Main Office and all branches.
  • Change safe deposit locks and keep an inventory.
  • Perform break-opens, when needed.
  • Assign duties to other facility staff as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED. Some college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Carpentry skills.
  • Moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
