Job summary

Sharp Packaging Solutions, part of UDG Healthcare plc, is seeking a Facilities Mechanic for our multi-building pharmaceutical packaging facility in Allentown, PA. The role involves maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, and life-safety systems within a cGMP environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, review work in CMMS, and coordinate with vendors for projects. Strong reading of drawings, BAS familiarity, and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience required.
• Biopharma cGMP experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with BAS controls preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with CMMS, QMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain warehouse and production buildings including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators and building envelope.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
• Guide vendors and obtain quotations for maintenance and replacement projects.
• Conduct inspections, rounds and readings; respond to BAS alarms.
• Support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning and operational improvements.
• Work extended hours as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
• Identify code, safety, energy efficiency and sustainability compliance gaps.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
