LRCC is seeking a Facilities Services Assistant III (Custodian) for the Lakes Region Campus in Laconia, NH. This 25-hour-per-week, 2nd shift role runs Mon-Fri from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a 0.90 shift differential applied to the salary listed below.
The position includes custodial tasks, equipment operation, basic building maintenance, and campus safety responsibilities. A high school diploma, two years of custodial experience, and a NH driver’s license are required.

SCOPE OF WORK: Performs skilled work in the routing, general, and preventative custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance and assist in coordinating the work activities of staff engaged in performing similar duties. This position reports to the Facilities Services Night Supervisor at LRCC. Working 25 hours per week 5:00-10:30 PM Monday - Friday. A .90 cent shift differential is added to the salary listed below.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency.
Experience: Two years' experience in custodial, grounds-keeping, or light maintenance work with equipment operation and maintenance and some supervisory or project coordination experience.
License/Certification: Possession of a valid New Hampshire driver’s license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule and/or to change hours during any special or emergency event, to support college activities that exceed normal operating hours and to adjust work schedule to meet college requirements. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and is subject to all its provisions.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Thorough knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment. Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Ability to supervise employees. Ability to keep records and make schedules. Working knowledge of heating and plumbing systems. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with subordinates and other employees. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college’s appointing authority. Ability to perform physical demands required for this position.
