Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of material handling and conveyor equipment at our Cedar Park facility. You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe operation of all machinery.

The role requires electrical knowledge, welding skills, and the ability to read schematics. Comprehensive benefits and advancement opportunities are offered by NFM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience with repair of Material Handling Equipment.
• Experience with Crown manufactured equipment preferred.
• Attend relevant Manufacturer Training Modules for equipment currently in use.
• Must have good working knowledge of electrical circuits, read schematics, and wire diagrams.
• Welding (wire or stick) and torch use to cut/braze. Prefer batteries maintenance.
• Knowledge of shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill, etc.).
• Ability to work night, weekend/early morning hours as needed.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Safety First: Attend OSHA-required safety classes and training.
• Prepare: Dismantle devices, repair or replace parts to keep equipment in good order.
• Track: Record work performed in asset management system.
• Make it Flawless: Maintain overall condition and log preventive maintenance.
