The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, operated by the State of North Carolina's Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III. You will provide skilled maintenance and repair for museum facilities, manage vendor contracts, and supervise upkeep to meet construction standards.

The role requires high school/GED and 2 years in related trades, with EPA certification possible. Strong reporting and security planning skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of progressive experience in the assigned trades; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Preferred: work experience in facilities management and knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to assess and plan for operational security and maintenance of museum.
• Strong written and oral reporting skills.

Responsabilités

• Security management of museum building and site.
• Manage museum systems maintenance and vendor contracts; plan and schedule maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee museum upkeep including cleaning protocols and part-time staff.
• Repair general fixtures and perform site maintenance tasks.
• Evaluate facility needs and report recommendations to supervisor.
