$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Job Description

Under supervision, the Facilities Security Associate 1 performs patrol and observation duties to protect government property from damage, fire, theft, and monitor visitor entry/exit at the Latham Headquarters. Responsibilities include enforcing security regulations, patrolling premises, controlling access, inspecting vehicles, responding to incidents, operating security systems, and assisting in emergencies. The role may involve supervisory duties, report writing, and training responsibilities, adhering to NGB standards and agency policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience as a Security Services Assistant 1 or similar role, or two years of security duties with a valid NY Security Guard registration and completed training.
• High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years old, proficient in English.
• Ability to work at heights, lift objects over 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean background, including no domestic violence convictions.

Additional Requirements

• Participation in drug testing, medical exams, and fitness assessments.
• Ability to operate security equipment and vehicles, and to supervise staff if designated.
• Must maintain security clearance and meet background check requirements.
