Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School is seeking a Facilities Assistant to oversee and participate in managing maintenance, operations, and security for the school’s buildings and grounds. You will coordinate with the Facilities Manager to ensure campus upkeep and safety, inspecting facilities, grounds, and equipment, while collaborating with committees and vendors.

The role involves handling grounds maintenance, safety drills, and servicing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the facilities maintenance field.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise grounds maintenance and janitorial teams.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Monitor and respond to repair requests to maintain safety and operations.
• Assist with security communications and incident drills.
