Job summary

Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living in Overland Park, Kansas, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to synchronize General Services activities for assigned neighborhoods. The role involves coordinating re-occupancies, overseeing contractors, and communicating with residents and staff to ensure smooth operations.

You will inspect facilities, address issues, and maintain service levels while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an office environment or facilities-related role preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and safely lift/move items.
  • Knowledge of building systems preferred.
  • Ability to resolve resident complaints in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate re-occupancies of units in assigned neighborhoods.
  • Oversee special projects following up on major issues impacting resident apartments or hallways.
  • Select and supervise outside contractors for projects.
  • Explain operations of General Services to new residents.
  • Investigate complaints, suggestions and occurrences.
  • Audit facilities for proper maintenance, repair and cleanliness; coordinate repairs with relevant departments.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by building positive relationships and resident satisfaction.

Location:

Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Facilities Coordinator, where you'll synchronize the activities of the General Services Department for assigned neighborhoods.

The Coordinator will liaise between General Services and resident/staff as well as mange the work of outside contractors.

Compensation: Starting at $25/hour, based on experience

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Coordinate re-occupancies of units in assigned neighborhoods
  • Coordinates special projects as a follow up to major issues that impact resident apartments/resident building hallways, etc.
  • Select and oversee the work of outside contractors for projects.
  • Communicate with new residents to explain the operation of each department within General Services
  • Investigate complaints, suggestions, and occurrences
  • Audit all facilities for proper maintenance, repair, and cleanliness; coordinates needed repairs with the appropriate department(s)
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by building positive relationships and ensuring resident satisfaction.

What You Will Need

  • Preferred: 1 year experience in an office environment or within a department with responsibility for facilities management
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and move heavy items as needed.
  • Working knowledge of building systems preferred
  • Ability to assess resident or other complaints and resolve disputes in a friendly and professional manner
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously
