Delta Electronics Americas Raleigh seeks a Facilities Technician to provide maintenance and operational support for a 52,000-square-foot office campus. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in trade school or equivalent experience in facilities/maintenance.
  • Proven maintenance repair experience.
  • Strong DIY repair knowledge across carpentry, flooring, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC.
  • Proficient with standard powered and non-powered tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with employees, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, updates, upgrades and preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
  • Install and maintain carpentry, flooring, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems.
  • Conduct daily rounds, readings, and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor building management systems (HVAC/Controls, Access Control, Video Surveillance).
  • Respond to equipment deficiencies and take corrective action as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work per specifications.
  • Assist with moves and setup of furniture and fixtures; support shipping and receiving logistics.

The Facilities Technician in Delta Raleigh is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and operational support of a 52,000-square-foot, 2.5-story office building situated on an 11-acre campus. This role ensures that the property and its infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Functions including but are not limited to:
  • Perform repairs, updates, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of carpentry, flooring, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling systems
  • Conduct daily rounds, readings, and preventative maintenance duties
  • Monitor building management systems including HVAC/Controls, Access Control, Video Surveillance
  • Able to recognize equipment deficiencies and take corrective action
  • Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • Assist with departmental and employee moves including dismantling, installing furniture, fixtures, and accessories
  • Transport goods or equipment as assigned
  • Share on call duties and must be able to respond to onsite alarms within 30 minutes when on call
  • Backup support for Shipping & Receiving in the10,000 square-foot high-bay warehouse, including operate a forklift
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Corporate Affairs Manager and/or Facilities Manager
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
  • Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to facilities and/or maintenance
  • Proven experience of maintenance repair work
  • Possess strong working knowledge of DIY repair work: carpentry, flooring, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, hvac
  • Proficient with use of standard powered and non-powered tools
  • Effectively communicate (oral and written) and build rapport with employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across functional areas
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records and prepare necessary reports
  • Work from drawings, schematics, and other documentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Must be productive and able to take initiative
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
