Job description

Lead the Night & Weekend Backbone of Our Building Systems

Step into a role where your leadership keeps our operation humming after dark. As the Facilities Reliability and Maintenance Supervisor, you'll guide a skilled team across overnight and weekend shifts to ensure our building, equipment, and safety systems perform flawlessly.

Your Schedule
  • 4-10 hour shifts - Thursday and Friday - 10:00pm to 8:30am - Saturday and Sunday - 6:00pm - 4:30am
A Day in the Life

You arrive to a prioritized plan: preventive maintenance tasks, parts checks, and a safety huddle. You review climate control dashboards, confirm OSHA-related checks, and walk the floor to verify custodial standards. Mid-shift, you jump into a cross-functional meeting, share best practices with partner CFCs, and approve a spare-parts reorder. When an unexpected issue pops up - a conveyor motor trip or a sprinkler valve concern - you provide hands-on troubleshooting while coaching the team. You close the shift by updating hazardous materials logs, testing evacuation procedures, and aligning actions to MSC's culture and mission.

What You'll Lead
  • Supervise, plan, and coordinate building and equipment repair activities to maintain top-tier service.
  • Build and maintain preventive maintenance programs for new and existing assets.
  • Direct daily work of custodial associates and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Own spare parts inventory for facility equipment and ensure availability.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and climate control standards.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams and cultivate strong partnerships across departments.
  • Maintain hazardous materials logs and confirm evacuation plans are in place and effective.
  • Champion a strong Safety Culture through team engagement and continuous improvement to mitigate risk.
  • Foster MSC's Culture and mission; carry out MSC Manager responsibilities (hiring, termination, reviews, and development).
  • Contribute to annual operating expense and capital budgets for facility equipment.
  • Perform pest removal and electrical/mechanical repairs when needed.
  • Support operational agility - associates may be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse functions as business needs evolve.
  • Tackle special projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related facilities or industrial maintenance experience.
Skills You Bring
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Expertise with industrial electrical systems: motors, starters, and switch gears.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with bearings, shafts, speed reducers, sprinkler systems, and similar systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Ability to coach the maintenance team and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Flexible availability, including on-call status.
Physical Demands
  • Bend to access items on floors and racks.
  • Lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Work at heights up to 50 feet.
  • Stand for extended periods.
Other
  • On-call availability 24/7.
  • Role may require a valid state driver's license.
