Job Description Summary

The Facilities Project Manager reports to the Chair and the Chief Operating Officer of the Department. The Project Manager will manage design, engineering, legal, construction, and other professionals engaged in the planning, design, and construction of capital projects for Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. The incumbent will provide expertise in project administration, communications, and operations management to drive the success of multiple high-profile projects.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage design, engineering, legal, construction, and other professionals engaged in the planning, design, and construction of capital projects.
  2. Provide high-level support by preparing statistical/analytical reports, handling information requests, and managing confidential information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree and 5-7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management, laboratory design, and construction.
  • Working knowledge of clinical laboratory operations preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage numerous projects at once.
  • Concise oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction within a diverse community.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
