Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks a Facilities Project Manager IV to lead end-to-end delivery of complex engineering and construction projects modernizing offices, labs, and cleanrooms. You will manage procurement, schedules, budgets, and safety, coordinating with engineering, design, and mission teams to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires a strong track record in large-scale projects, knowledge of contracting methods, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil/structural engineering, construction management, or architecture with 9+ years of experience.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline with 7 years of experience.
• Track record directing major, highly complex engineering, infrastructure, and facility construction projects.
• Deep knowledge of diverse construction contracting methods and procurement evaluation.
• Budget forecasting, spend plan execution, and formal change control.
• Knowledge of CBC, NEC, ADA, OSHA codes and safety standards.
• Proven leadership directing multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to present data to leadership.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Direct the lifecycle of complex engineering and construction projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop SOWs and RFP packages; generate purchase requests and SWOs for contractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering & Design and Construction Management; liaise with EHS and flight mission teams.
• Lead scopes involving high/medium-voltage distribution, site utilities, cleanrooms, and research facilities.
• Establish integrated schedules, cost projections, and spend plans; monitor progress and invoices.
• Mentor and coach early- and mid-career project managers and staff; represent JPL with partners and NASA centers.
