Job summary

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. in Germantown, MD is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to lead the DOE-IDQ contract’s O&M activities on site.

You will plan, organize, coordinate and direct all contract functions between EGS and the Department of Energy, overseeing daily operations, maintenance and reimbursable projects. The role requires a BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), PE license preferred, and 5+ years in facilities operations.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering is required; Mechanical preferred.
• Professional Engineering License is preferred.
• Q Clearance required or ability to obtain; active clearance preferred.
• 5+ years experience in facilities operations or maintenance of large buildings (>500,000 sq ft).
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to organize and lead a team.
• Experience with CMMS software is required.
• Strong experience with Windows and MS Office is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of building systems, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the successful completion of all aspects of IDIQ projects between EGS and the Department of Energy.
• Manages the overall operations of the contract, including daily operations, scheduled maintenance, IDIQ construction and renovations; administration of subcontracts.
• Evaluate and ensure efficient project operation, control expenses while maintaining maintenance standards.
• Supervise negotiation and bids for IDIQ construction and renovations; administer such contracts.
• Advise Facilities Staff on physical plant matters and problem areas.
• Ensure proper upkeep of facilities, including HVAC, sanitation, grounds, and emergencies.
• Maintain liaison with architects, engineers and contractors/subcontractors for expansions or major projects.
• Maintain records, files, controls and procedures for management and work production.
