Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Associate Project Manager III to plan, coordinate, and manage facility maintenance, rehabilitation, and infrastructure projects supporting NYCT bus depots and related facilities.

The APM provides technical leadership for mechanical and facility systems and collaborates with in-house teams and contractors to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or related field plus one year of full-time PM experience.
• 2) A four-year high school diploma and five years of PM experience as described in 1 above;
• 3) A four-year high school diploma plus combination of college/experience to make five years, with credits for additional education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility maintenance, rehabilitation, renovation, and infrastructure projects for bus depots and fueling facilities.
• Lead in-house teams, contractors, and capital contractors to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Perform site inspections, evaluate conditions, identify deficiencies, and develop corrective actions.
• Review contractor work, submittals, cost proposals, schedules, and change orders for compliance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Procurement, and regulators.
• Support preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives for mechanical systems and utilities.
• Monitor project performance using CMMS and MS Office tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDNY, DEC, EPA.
