A growing communications technology organization is seeking a Facilities Power Engineer to support the performance, resilience, and modernization of power related infrastructure across a distributed operating environment. Focus
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of infrastructure improvement projects that support critical operational and technology initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors, operations teams, and project stakeholders to improve power reliability and site readiness.
- Perform technical review of drawings, site plans, and electrical documentation for infrastructure changes.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long range reliability planning for distributed facilities.
- Provide engineering support for maintenance efforts, construction activities, commissioning work, and system improvements.
- Track project priorities, communicate status updates, and help ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Travel as needed to support field assessments, implementation activities, and issue resolution.
Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of experience in electrical engineering, facilities engineering, infrastructure support, telecommunications, or another complex technical setting.
- Working knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems, backup power, and site support infrastructure.
- Knowledge and experience in electrical power, standby generators, UPSs, and related systems.
- Experience with various industry standards and best practices
- Experience with AutoCad
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting projects from planning through implementation, troubleshooting, and closeout.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience in mission critical environments, network operations, or remote technical sites is a plus.
- Ability to travel both domestic and internationally.
