Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Northampton, MA is seeking a Porter to sanitize and maintain the cleanliness of our facility and grounds, following safe work practices. You will sweep, dust, clean, vacuum and wash furniture, fixtures and equipment daily, and assist with restrooms, conference rooms and other areas as directed.

This role is part of a bargaining unit governed by the applicable union contract. Eligible candidates should have a High School diploma, 2 years janitorial experience, and the

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or institutional environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturers’ documentation including MSDS.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, clean, vacuum and wash furniture, fixtures and equipment through the facility as required.
• Clean and sanitize fixtures and surfaces in restrooms, food prep areas, conference rooms and other areas as directed.
• Monitor, maintain stock and replenish consumables throughout the facility.
• Support activities involving reorganization and renovation.
• Perform floor maintenance including vacuuming, washing, stripping, waxing and buffing.
• Handle, dispose of refuse and recyclables following regulations.
