Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for high-quality painting and finishing work across hospital locations, adhering to safety, hygiene, and infection control standards. The role involves collaboration with the facilities team and using technology for work order management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, selecting appropriate and environmentally safe products.
  • Perform finishing work to ensure smooth, defect-free surfaces that meet hospital standards.
  • Inspect and repair surfaces as needed, including drywall patching and caulking.
  • Manage work orders using facility management software, scheduling projects to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of professional painting experience, preferably in healthcare or institutional settings.

Skills

  • Proficiency in various painting techniques and surface preparation.
  • Ability to match paint colors accurately.
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
