Job summary

GTC Machining is seeking a Facilities & Operations Support Technician to keep the shop floor, offices, and common areas clean, organized, and safe. You will assist with light facility maintenance, scrap handling, local pickups, and support for Production, Quality, Shipping/Receiving, and Leadership as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Experience in manufacturing, facilities support, maintenance, janitorial, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or operations support preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
Experience with lean manufacturing and quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, AS9100D preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
Perform janitorial tasks including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, restroom checks, and restocking supplies.
Support scrap, chip, and waste removal processes per safety requirements.
Assist with light facility maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and communication of larger maintenance needs.
Perform local pickups, deliveries, and errands for supplies, materials, tooling, uniforms, PPE, or other needs.
Support Shipping/Receiving, Production, Quality, and Operations with material movement and general shop support.
Monitor and restock janitorial supplies, PPE, breakroom items, and facility inventory.
Maintain safe, clear walkways and organized work areas and exits.
