Job summary

Delta Center is hiring a Facilities Operations Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. This full-time role involves setting up and tearing down event spaces, including courts, stages, and seating, with occasional ice prep for hockey games. Shifts typically run 7:00pm–5:00am, with holidays and weekends as needed.

Compensation starts at $21.50 per hour. Responsibilities include coordinating room setups for concerts and shows, supervising temporary staff, and upholding Delta Center values of safety,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must have the ability to complete tasks on time and follow instructions.
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and detail oriented to perform tasks without constant supervision.
• Must be willing to accept directions from a supervisor if work quality is inadequate.
• Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority, and workload demands.
• Warehousing and organization skills preferred, but not required.
• Prior forklift and pallet jack experience preferred, but not required.

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to join the Delta Center team as a Facilities Operations Technician. This position involves all aspects of event setup and tear down at Delta Center, including but not limited to, setting up chairs, tables, furniture, ice removal, pipe, and drape within a dynamic work environment. This is a full-time position that generally works 7:00pm - 5:00am, sometimes earlier or later, holidays, and weekends depending on business needs. $21.50 per hour

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble, set up, and remove professional basketball court.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, wind, and heat.
• This person must be able to lift 75 lbs. continuously and regularly.
• Work under fast paced, high stress situations.
