Job summary

Delta Center is seeking a part-time Building Security Officer to protect a busy arena hosting events like Utah Mammoth and Utah Jazz games. You will master security systems and apply protocols for safe day-to-day operations. The Midnight–8am shift pays $17.50 per hour and requires flexible availability.

Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting, alarm response, crowd management, and assisting guests in emergencies, with strong emphasis on guest service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must follow verbal and written direction.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with guests and staff.
• Maintain professional appearance as per management.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training successfully.
• Be proactive and friendly in interactions with guests and employees.
• Drive company vehicle to practice facilities when required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Part-Time Building Security Officer is responsible for the security of Delta Center, which hosts a variety of events including Utah Mammoth games, Utah Jazz games, concerts, and so much more! The Security Officer will master all security systems in the building and apply this knowledge with security protocols to ensure the safe day-to-day operations of the arena. Shift hours Midnight - 8am, $17.50 per hour.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol areas at regular intervals to ensure that the properties are secure and safe.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
• Assist with VIP and/or event crew parking.
• Assist with crowd flowt.
• Assist guests in emergency situations, which could include medical or evacuations.
• Assist guests with special needs.
• Monitor safety and security conditions in area.
• Enforce arena safety and security rules and policies.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Be respectful of our guest's and employee's property during screening and searches.
• Be proactive and friendly in connecting with guests and employees.
• Be responsible for ensuring all guests and employees are aware of Delta Center policies as they pertain to safety.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to the our practice facilities.
• Protect the reputation of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
