Job summary

S.C. Department of Public Health is seeking a Facilities Management Supervisor to oversee the Facilities Management Section at the Hayne building.

This role directs maintenance, coordinates with Office of Administration, and leads special projects as assigned by section leaders and the Public Health Laboratory Director. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related experience or training.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and experience or training within the specific work area.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance and repair of the building systems in the Hayne building.
• Interacts with the Office of Administration and all outside contractors as the primary contact person.
• Directs and participates in the design fabrication of special projects as directed by the Section Directors and Public Health Laboratory Director.
• Responsible for the telephone and communication services for the Public Health Laboratory and Department of Environmental Services.
• Responsible for the operation and support of the Hayne Access Control systems.
• Acts as Property Custodian for the Public Health Laboratory and other duties as assigned.
