Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist for the Volcano Science Center in Hawaii. The role oversees maintenance, repairs, and assets across offices, warehouse, and field stations, including compliance and security.

You will act as COR on projects, develop maintenance plans, manage fleet and space, and support emergency/continuity tasks. Telework may be possible with supervisory approval.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute annual and long-range maintenance for buildings/equipment.
• Serve as Contracting Officer's Representative on construction/building rehab projects.
• Advise on policies, SOPs, and schedules for buildings/grounds operations including security.
• Oversee fleet management, space management, and life-safety activities.
