Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a facilities maintenance professional in Costa Mesa, CA. The role involves daily plant support, routine MEP inspections, and performing preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.

You will manage maintenance requests via Freshworks, coordinate internal teams and outside vendors, and document work with detailed notes on hours, materials, and outcomes. A strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance and management.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order management systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day operational support and maintenance for the physical plant and infrastructure.
• Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to identify issues before failure occurs.
• Execute corrective maintenance and minor repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building interior tasks.
• Conduct rooftop inspections and monitor mechanical units for wear or damage.
• Provide support for operations including furniture moves and event setup/breakdown.
• Implement or support a preventive maintenance program to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors for services outside in-house scope.
• Prepare monthly service reports and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
