Job summary

Walmart in Saint James, MO, seeks a Senior Logistics Operations Manager to drive business plans across areas of responsibility, forecast staffing needs, and monitor performance against budgets. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field; and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide; OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates; OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates; drive and implement business plans for the area of responsibility to meet facility goals.
• Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results; monitor expenses and asset utilization against budget.
• Ensure compliance with logistics, quality, and safety standards; develop and maintain procedures and documentation.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Partner with the community and champion Walmart-sponsored programs and events to associates and customers.
