Job summary

Aramark seeks an IFM Facilities Operations Director to lead integrated facilities maintenance across multi-site operations in the Plano area. This role guides senior management, ensures safety, and drives cost efficiency and service excellence for client facilities.

You will oversee construction coordination, utility systems, and 24/7 emergency readiness while aligning with client contracts and lease terms. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and data-driven decisions are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience managing Facilities Operations in Corporate Office Settings.
  • 10 years Management Experience.
  • 10 years experience in facilities management, engineering or management of business/operations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply property lease terms as well as client contracts.
  • Experience in leveraging modern technology and data to drive business decisions i.e. IWMS/CMMS, IoT technology, digital twins, robotics etc.
  • IFMA Membership and Certification Preferred (FMP, SFP, CFM)

Responsibilities

  • Directs work of management team and front-line associates.
  • Makes/influences employment decisions including hiring, promotions, development and performance management.
  • Ensures individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectations.
  • Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with HR related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding.
  • Plans and leads daily team briefings.
  • Direct point of contact for all Aramark and sub-contracted lines of services on behalf of client.
  • Oversight of all work done on behalf of client to ensure quality control and hospitality focused delivery of all services.
  • Plans, improves, and maintains owned and leased facilities and equipment.
  • Provides strategic leadership and vision for departments.
  • Directs, manages and coordinates with the functional authority for planning, organization, control and integration to ensure completion of projects.
  • Oversight of all site utility systems to include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, life safety and grounds.
  • Responsible for state of readiness to comply with Life Safety preparedness, OSHA, Air/ Water preparation compliance, emergency response and document requirements.
  • Ensures the Client is following all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • 24/7 response to building related emergencies
  • Delivers client and company financial targets

Education

Job description

The IFM Facilities Operations Director leads and directs integrated facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a multi-site unit. This position may function as head of a small mega-site unit with three levels of management reporting up to this position; or may assist in the leadership of a large mega or multi-site unit reporting to an District Manager. The Facilities Operations Director leads and assists in the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services which support and improve the effectiveness of its primary activities. This position may contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs, and improving the productivity, revenue generating capacity and image of the entire organization. This position ensures a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business. The position often manages construction work and may coordinate and/or oversee contracted services for major construction. The position often manages other core Aramark services, and/or logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services, executive fleet vehicles.

  • Responsible for developing/executing maintenance solutions to meet customer needs
  • Executes facilities maintenance/upkeep following predefined specifications
  • Identifies client needs and communicates operational progress
  • Ensures compliance with client contract and client’s property lease terms
  • Directly interface with Client, C-Suite Executives, Client Stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to Client’s culture
Financial Performance
  • Delivers client and company financial targets

Adopts all Aramark and client processes/systems, understands performance metrics, data, orders, inventory trends and educates teams on key levers to improve margins

Qualifications
