Job summary

Aramark is seeking a General Manager to plan, manage and guide multiple contracted services for a client typically generating $2-15M+ in revenue. You will lead a team across food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging or transportation to meet operating and financial goals.

You’ll direct frontline staff, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with contract obligations, safety standards and client expectations while driving efficiencies and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Operations & Maintenance (O&M) experience and knowledge of building systems, with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Profit and loss (P&L) experience is required.
• Experience leading hourly and salaried employees in facilities management.
• Experience in business & industry, life sciences or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Mech, electrical and plumbing (MEP) O&M standards knowledge; related equipment like boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R.
• Development of maintenance strategies and capital planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct frontline associates and vendors within a mid-large IFM operation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure contract obligations and site KPIs, SOWs, response times, and HS&E metrics are met.
• Drive safety first culture and empower the team to maintain a safe work environment.
• Create a positive employee environment and foster teamwork across levels.
• Oversee site utility systems including HVAC, plumbing, energy management, fire safety, and grounds.
• Improve labor/productivity, manage costs, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Maintain communications with client leadership and contribute to monthly/quarterly client reviews.
• Hire, train, and manage performance of frontline staff.
• Use CMMS (EcoBPM) to manage/close work orders within SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with Aramark Facilities Management standards and regulations.

Depending on the client, services can include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more. Job Responsibilities

• Manage and direct frontline associates and vendors within a mid-large IFM operation.
• Demonstrated self-perform experience in building facilities operations and maintenance, including the hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations. Site level contractual compliance includes all site level KPI and SOWs, response times and customer HS&E metrics.

• Oversight of all site utility systems to include electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning(HVAC),plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, life safety and grounds
• Drive operational efficiencies and labor/scheduling productivity to manage labor costs, supply costs and inventories and inspect operations to ensure a high level of execution and compliance
• Establishes and maintains effective communications and business relationships, including frequent, consistent and accurate communications with client site level leadership. Will participate in/contribute to Monthly and Quarterly Client Business Reviews (CBRs)
• Hire, train, develop and manage the performance of frontline associates, ensuring high performance, optimal staffing and employee engagement
• Use EcoBPM CMMS system to properly support the operation and manage/close out work orders within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain and use capital equipment efficiently
• Ensure compliance with Aramark Facilities Management standards and programs and all OSHA/other regulatory agency and local, state, and federal government regulations

Qualifications

Must possess hands-on Operations & Maintenance (O&M) experience and a working knowledge of building systems, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support day-to-day facility operations.

• Requires at least 3-5 years’ experience in a facilities management site level leadership role and 3-5 years’ experience managing hourly and salaried employees
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Requires profit and loss (P&L) experience
• Previous experience in a business & industry, life sciences or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) O&M standards and procedures, as well as facility related equipment such as boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R required
• Strong knowledge and experience in the development of maintenance strategies and O&M capital planning strategies is preferred
• For manufacturing environments, experience working in an environment that requires Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and a high level of safety standards, protocols and procedures is strongly preferred
• Facilities Management Certification such as Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) or equivalent is strongly preferred

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
