Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead plant engineering, safety, and facilities operations at our Cartersville site. The role includes budgeting, reporting, and coordinating installation or modification of facilities and equipment.

You will supervise maintenance activities, manage the work order system, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and drive improvements. A manufacturing background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field required.
• 5+ years of experience required.
• Project Management and Quality Systems experience preferred.
• Management experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership and supervision skills preferred.
• Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate policies and programs to manage plant engineering, budgeting, reporting, and installing or modifying facilities and equipment.
• Supervise all equipment, facilities, and maintenance activities.
• Manage the facilities and work order system.
• Support safety programs to ensure safety is promoted throughout the facility.
• Create and maintain written reports on project status, tests, costs, issues, and performance to targets and timelines.
• Collaborate with functional managers and cross-functional teams to ensure needs are understood and incorporated into projects.
• Understand customer critical success factors and develop corrective actions to meet needs.
• Lead productivity and process improvements for focus area operations.
• Establish effective product introduction timetables, capabilities, and capacities that meet sales plans.
• Manage metrics and drive root cause analysis to achieve objectives.

• Supervise all equipment, facilities, and maintenance activities.
• Manage the facilities and work order system.
• Support safety programs to ensure safety is promoted throughout the facility.
• Create and maintain written reports on project status, tests, costs, issues, and performance to established targets and timelines on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with appropriate functional managers and cross-functional teams to ensure needs are understood and incorporated into the project and program process.
• Understand customer critical success factors and develop corrective actions to meet customer needs.
• Lead productivity and process improvements for focus area operation.
• Establish effective product introduction timetables, capabilities, and capacities that meet company sales plans.

• Years of Experience: 5 or more years of experience required,
• Project Management and Quality Systems experience preferred
• Related Experience: Management experience in a manufacturing environment, proven leadership, supervisory, and problem-solving skills preferred
• Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification preferred
