Job summary

xAI is seeking a Facilities Engineer for the Memphis site to design, build, activate, and maintain advanced facilities and data centers. You will manage infrastructure projects, oversee operations, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, coordination of MEP systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and design standards. You will work with AHJ and support rapid response to facility emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field is required.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in design or build of building systems (MEP).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or engineering design software is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal project teams, consultants and contractors through MEP engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and maintenance.
• Provide technical engineering support to ensure compliance with standards, codes and specifications.
• Coordinate capital expenditure processes including reviews, approvals and project execution.
• Prepare drawings, documentation and reports for aerospace, large commercial or industrial projects.
• Communicate status and schedule to personnel, subcontractors and vendors to meet deadlines.
• Ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
