Job description

The Facility Engineer will play a critical role in the successful stand-up and operation of the facility maintenance program. This position is responsible for overseeing technical execution, supporting maintenance operations, coordinating vendors, and ensuring alignment with client expectations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is expected to contribute not only to site success, but also to the development and expansion of Allegiance's broader Facilities Management platform as the business grows.

Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Operations

• Serve as the technical lead for facilities maintenance operations across building systems, utilities, and infrastructure
• Support the daily site operations and decision making
• Provide troubleshooting support and guidance for complex maintenance issues
• Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance programs and work order management maintenance

Execution & Reliability

• Oversee maintenance technicians and ensure quality and consistency of work performed
• Monitor system performance and optimization of preventive maintenance strategies
• Assist in planning and coordination of facility repairs and improvements

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with site safety requirements and Allegiance safety standards
• Support implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permitting and safe work practices
• Participate in safety observations, audits and incident review processes

Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate third-party vendors for specialized services and repairs
• Assist in reviewing scopes of work and ensuring alignment with facility needs
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with safety and site requirements

Client & Site Collaboration

• Work closely with client engineering, maintenance and operations teams
• Support communication of maintenance activities, issues and priorities
• Assist in monthly operational reviews and contribute to quarterly business reviews (QBRs)

Continuous Improvement & Program Development

• Support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring maintenance issues
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and increased efficiency
• Assist in developing standardized processes and best practices for Allegiance's FM program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the following

• Preventive maintenance completion rate (target >95%)
• Work order response and completion effectiveness
• Maintenance backlog management
• Reduction in recurring equipment or system issues

• Adherence to safety policies and procedures
• Participation in safety programs and compliance activities

• Technical Execution

• Effectiveness in troubleshooting and resolving facility issues
• Quality and consistency of maintenance execution
• Support of system reliability and uptime (without guarantee)

• Vendor & Coordination Performance

• Effectiveness in coordination third-party vendors
• Timeliness and organization of vendor-related activities
• Support of cost-effective service delivery
