Madisonhealth in Rexburg, ID is seeking a Facilities - Mechanical Systems Tech to maintain the hospital’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, medical gas and utility systems to provide a safe, compliant healthcare environment.

This full-time role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency response, with on-call rotation to ensure continuous hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certification in HVAC.
• HVAC Journeyman or equivalent certification preferred.
• Plumbing and refrigeration knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, medical gas and utility systems.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Support hospital operations to minimize downtime.

Facilities - Mechanical Systems Tech - (FT)

The Facilities Systems Technician – Mechanical, is responsible for maintaining the hospital's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical, medical gas and utility systems to provide a safe, reliable, and compliant healthcare environment. This position performs preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency response on building infrastructure and utility systems while supporting regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate maintenance documentation, and participating in the department's on-call rotation to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.

Schedule: Full Time

• Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm rotating call schedule Sat-Sun
• Benefit eligible

Minimum Work Experience

• 5-8 years working in the HVAC world preferred.

Minimum Education

• Experience with HVAC and plumbing
• Associates degree, HVAC Journeyman, Specialty Plumber, and Refrigeration License or 10 years experience.
